Coaching is a unique partnership between the client and coach. The relationship is designed by both parties, in order to achieve a higher quality of life for the client.

Coaching is confidential; no client information is shared outside of the relationship by the coach.
Coaching is action oriented, with a focus on the client's current life and future goals.
Coaching techniques include:
clarifying core values
managing self-defeating attitudes
broadening perspectives
holding clients accountable to their commitment to a more fulfilling and balanced life.
Coaching helps clients deepen their learning, sharpen their aspirations, make better choices and take actions to create a life they love!

Personal/life coaching started in the early 1990's. Building on the lessons of executive coaching, life coach pioneers developed this profession to extend the benefits of business-oriented coaching to include one's whole life. In order to be a certified life coach, practitioners must be trained by organizations sanctioned by the International Coach Federation, such as the Coaches Training Institute.
